Euro Straws straws are made entirely of natural fibers and are therefore (home) compostable. The Euro Straws straws contain no plastic and are free of chemicals. The bamboo fiber straws offer a nice alternative to paper straws, because they do not become weak!
Home compostable
Euro straws straws are certified for Home composability, which means that they compost at your home in the garden. The straw does not emit any toxic gases during waste incineration. When buried in the ground or waste disposal, the straw starts to break down after 45 days. After 90 days, the bamboo fiber straws are completely broken down by micro-organisms in the environment. Because the straw only contains natural raw materials, the dissolved substances are returned to the environment and add nutrients to the earth.
