Kraftpapier - Sterk, ongebleekt en 100% composteerbaar.

At Bio Futura, we use kraft paper for a wide range of products, including coffee cups and soup and ice cream containers. This material is a very strong type of paper made from wood pulp sourced from sustainably managed forests. Many of our products are certified by the SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative), a certification similar to the well-known FSC® certification. All of our products are chlorine-free and, when printed, use water- or soy-based inks. This ensures that our products are 100% compostable and have minimal environmental impact.

What is Kraft Paper?

Kraft paper is produced from wood chips of fast-growing tree species such as spruce and pine. These trees have long fibers, giving the paper exceptional strength and quality. During the production process, lignin, the natural binder in wood, is separated from the cellulose, resulting in a very pure and strong paper.

Natural, Untreated Appearance

The kraft paper we use is unbleached, giving it a natural, brown color. This gives our packaging an authentic and sustainable appearance. The paper is also wet-strength, meaning it is resistant to moisture and does not easily tear or weaken when wet.

Sustainable and Eco-Friendly
In addition to its strong and practical properties, kraft paper is one of the most sustainable materials in our collection. Since it is derived from fast-growing tree species, it is quickly replenished. The material is both recyclable and compostable, making it fully returnable to the natural cycle. This fits perfectly with our vision of contributing to a circular economy.
